Tourism Minister meets Kuwaiti Information Minister
Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, met Abdulrahman Baddah Al Mutairi, Minister of Information and Culture of Kuwait, on the sidelines of the ninth preparatory meeting of the GCC Ministers Responsible for Tourism.
The meeting reviewed the executive programme for the Bahrain-Kuwait tourism cooperation agreement for 2024-2026, efforts to promote the GCC as a unified tourism destination, regional tourism development, and joint investment opportunities.
Minister Al Sairafi underscored Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with GCC countries to promote intra-regional tourism, exchange expertise, and enhance the sector’s contribution to regional economies.
Both ministers highlighted the historical ties between Bahrain and Kuwait and underscored the importance of continued collaboration in tourism through experience-sharing, joint promotional efforts, and the organisation of cultural and tourism events.
