H.E. Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi

Minister of Tourism and Chairperson of the Board of the BTEA
H.E. Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi

Foreword by Her Excellency Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi Minister of Tourism and Chairperson of the Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority (BTEA)

The Kingdom of Bahrain continues to position tourism as a key driver of growth and economic diversification, guided by the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, and supported by the continued efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. This progress supports the goals of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and the Kingdom’s broader ambitions for a diverse, sustainable economy.

Guided by this vision, we continue to develop an integrated tourism ecosystem by diversifying products and experiences, enhancing service quality, attracting high-value investment, and advancing business tourism, exhibitions, and conferences. Bahrain’s modern infrastructure, strategic location, and welcoming investment climate reinforce its position as a leading destination in the region.

To achieve these objectives, we are strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors and with national, regional, and international partners. This collaboration drives high-impact initiatives, stimulates innovation, improves sector efficiency, and increases tourism’s contribution to the national economy.

We also continue to respond to global trends in the tourism industry, adopt best practices, and embed sustainability while preserving national identity and showcasing Bahrain’s civilizational and cultural heritage. Together, these efforts enrich the visitor experience and showcase the Kingdom’s authenticity and diversity.
