The Minister of ICT Meets The Russian Minister of Culture During the Launch of BTEA's Rep. Office

The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Toursim, H.E Mr. Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani held a meeting with the Russian Minister of Culture, Mr. Vladimir Medinsky on Thursday 13th of July.
The meeting took place during the launch of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) representative office in the Russian Federation and was in the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Russia, H.E. Mr. Ahmed Al Saati.
During the meeting, the ministers discussed strengthening bilateral relations including trade and tourism relations between Bahrain and Russia. The discussions also focused on the importance of keeping pace with the global trends to continuously enhance the tourism industry.
Mr. Vladimir Medinsky has also extended an invitation to H.E Mr. Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani to attend St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum that will be held in November 2017.  
“Russia is one of the main markets and we are looking at developing a stronger bond between both countries on the cultural, touristic and economical front. The main aim behind the representative office is to promote the Kingdom as a unique destination and attract more tourists,” said the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism H.E Mr. Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani.
The launch of the representative office comes in line with the BTEA’s strategic outreach program to promote the tourism brand ‘'Ours Yours' aimed at showcasing the Kingdom of Bahrain as the ideal tourism destination to the regional and international markets and further promote the Kingdom’s touristic offering as a main contributor to the overall economic growth in line with the Economic Vision 2030.
